Sylvia Janette Height,81, of Van Wert died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home in Wabash, IN. She was born August 15, 1932 in Van Wert a daughter of Walter and P. Marie Cooper. On November 4, 1950 she married Frank Leroy "Ted" Height who preceded her in death on August 13, 2008.
She is survived by 1 son, Terry Nolan Height (Bonnie) of Wabash, IN, 1 brother, Walter Lee Cooper of Las Vegas, NV, 1 Sister, Faye (Donald) Uhl of Van Wert, 3 grandchildren, Jesse (Stephanie) Height Wabash, IN, Aaron (Lisa) Height, Fort Wayne, IN, Ashley (Ben) Robinson, Pierceton, IN and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Mark Kevin Height, and 2 brothers, Jesse Cooper and Donald Cooper.
She was a graduate of Van Wert High School and spent many years as a secretary in the Van Wert City School System from which she retired.
Services will be at 10:30 AM Friday, July 11, 2014 in St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Pastor Will Haggis officiating. Friends will be received by the family from 4-8 PM Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Brickner Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial will follow in Van Wert Woodland Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to St. Mark's Lutheran Church Children's Ministry.
