Raymond "Ray" Etgen
December 18, 1944 — March 23, 2017
Raymond "Ray" Etgen, 72, of the Middle Point area, died at 8:50 PM Thursday in Van Wert County Hospital. He was born December 18, 1944 in Van Wert, a son of Donald R. "Butch" and Bertha (Dunno) Etgen, both of whom are deceased. He was preceded in death by his spouse Phyliss Sue (Holbrook).
He is survived by a brother, Larry (Tanya) Etgen, a brother-in-law, Jim (Rachel) Kanable, and Dave Allen and Bernadine Griffey, also a brother-in-law.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Raymond "Bud" Etgen and David Allen Etgen.
For many years he had driven ready mix concrete trucks in the Van Wert area.
He was a member of "Sons of Amvets Post 698" in Middle Point.
Friends will be received from 2-4 PM and 5-7 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to: Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice in Van Wert.
