Evelyn E. Staten, 84, of Convoy, died at 2:20 PM Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Vancrest of Convoy. She was born April 24, 1932, in Logan, Ohio,
She is survived by her son, John E. (Brenda) Staten, Jr. of Convoy- daughter Sherry (Jim) Kitson of Convoy- grandchildren Nikki Staten (Ben Jones)- Lindsay (Bryce) Poling- Joshua (Mackenzie) Staten- Jeremy (Amanda) Kitson- Jayme (Paul) Simms- great grandchildren Jacob, Grace, and William Kitson, Briella Jones, Kallan Staten, and Hailey Poling- sister Luella Guess- brothers Bill and George Nutter. She was preceded in death by brothers Parley and Lowell Nutter and sister Roxie Schlegal.
Evelyn is a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and a retired employee of Aeroquip Corporation in Van Wert.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with Father Stanley Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in Kings/Bethlehem Cemetery on Kings Church Road in Harrison Township. Friends may call at Brickner Funeral Home Tuesday, March 7, 2017, from 3 to 8.
