84, of Van Wert, died at 8:13 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2008, at Convoy Care Center.
She was born February 2, 1924, in Collinsville, Ga., the daughter of the late Early and Mary Kate (Usher) Collins. She married Robert W. Sandel, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Sandel retired from Van Wert Manor nursing home, having worked there 25 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Van Wert.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Don) Stoddard of Van Wert; and one son, Dennis E. Sandel of Brandon, Fla.
A son, Bruce E. Sandel, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 11, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Lance O’Donnell officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, at the funeral home.
