89, of Middle Point, died at 9:21 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born February 4, 1920, in Bellview, Mo., the son of the late Melvin and Stella (Strickland) Lambert. On March 27, 1942, he married Geneva (Etgen) Lambert, who survives in Middle Point.
Mr. Lambert was a lifetime farmer. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Bellview, Mo., and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps who served during World War II.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two brothers, Loyal (Faye) Lambert of O’Fallon, Mo., and Ira (Reba) Lambert of Bellview, Mo.
Four brothers and four sisters also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 28, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery near Middle Point.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 27, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
